Caley Ocean Systems have been on an upward trajectory over the past couple of years and following their acquisition by Pryme Group in Summer 2021 have gone on to make significant appointments to achieve ambitious growth targets.
Most recently, Caley have appointed experienced engineering leader Barbara McIntyre to the role of Engineering & Operations Director. Barbara is responsible for engineering governance and project delivery as well as building the engineering and operations teams to deliver new and existing projects. With ambitious growth targets to achieve in the next 5 years, Barbara’s role will be key to Caley’s growth.
A chartered engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Barbara is an experienced Engineering Director with 20 years of leadership and design engineering experience across a range of sectors including transport, defence and energy.
On the topic of her appointment, Barbara commented, “I am delighted to join Caley at an exciting time in their growth. In recent years, Caley’s new product development has seen them win multi-million-pound contracts to deliver their innovative PileProp © and Pile Fixation Tool for two major European offshore wind farms, in addition to delivering two key projects for Hinkley Point C.
“New product development is key to staying relevant in the ever-changing markets in which Caley operate, we have a highly capable engineering and operations teams and I will be working with them closely to identify areas for growth and development.”
